How a Sparkium overhaul differs from a basic service
A basic service sprays a mild cleaner on the visible coil while the unit stays mounted. It improves things for about three weeks. A chemical overhaul, done properly, restores the cooling capacity for nine to twelve months.
- Indoor unit removed from the wall and carried to a tarp-protected work area.
- Blower wheel hand-cleaned (not just sprayed) — this single step lifts noticeable noise.
- Coil submerged in chemical bath; rinsed three times and verified at the drain pan.
- Drain pipe flushed with a bicarbonate solution — this is what stops the slimy regrowth at three months.
- Outdoor condenser coil pressure-cleaned with low-pH cleaner to lift Klang Valley dust.

What it costs
From RM 260 per indoor unit for standard 1.0–1.5 HP wall splits. Cassette units, ducted systems and high-mount installations are quoted individually. Quantity discount from the third unit.
When you should book one
If you notice musty smells the first ten seconds after starting, water dripping from the indoor unit, hot air at the vents, or your energy bill creeping up — an overhaul is overdue. As a rule, household units need this every nine to twelve months; offices and homes with pets every six.
